Do you invest with a diverse team, or in entrepreneurs with diverse leadership? Then the Diverse Manager Programme is for you. Through this programme, Invest-NL invests in funds that structurally embed diversity within their management teams and investment strategies. In this way, we strengthen decision-making and contribute to inclusive economic growth.

Investing in diversity pays off

Invest-NL does not see diversity as a secondary concern but as a strategic priority. In the venture capital sector, we still see a persistent gender gap. And cultural and ethnic diversity also lags behind. That is a missed opportunity, because different perspectives lead to better decisions and better performance.

With the Diverse Manager Programme, we promote change. Diversity brings more perspectives to the table. We invest in funds that structurally incorporate diversity into their team and investment strategy. This increases access to capital for underrepresented groups and works towards a more level playing field in the investment world.

Our investment criteria

The Diverse Manager Programme focuses on funds that embed diversity structurally into their team and strategy. We participate with tickets starting from €5 million per fund. Additionally, you will find our main investment criteria below. Further conditions and details will be discussed during the application process.

Diverse leadership

At least 50% of the management team consists of women and/or persons from ethnically or culturally diverse backgrounds; and/or the fund demonstrably invests in enterprises led by diverse management teams.
