Linco Nieuwenhuyzen appointed Director of Market Development on an interim basis as of 1 December.

Market Development addresses complex market and financing challenges relating to innovation and the major transitions. The department brings entrepreneurs, financiers, government authorities and knowledge institutions together, particularly where markets do not yet develop naturally. By connecting development and investment more closely, we help develop new markets, remove barriers for entrepreneurs and create new investment opportunities.

Linco brings nearly twenty years of experience in innovation, regional economic development and finance. He began his career at Brainport Development in Eindhoven, and subsequently spent eleven years at InnovationQuarter and the Economic Board Zuid-Holland. At InnovationQuarter, he was Head of Innovation and led a team of thirty professionals. He was also Acting Head of Investment for almost a year, responsible for four funds investing in start-ups and scale-ups. Since October 2025, he has been Programme Director at ROM-Nederland, responsible for the financing landscape, the National Technology Strategy and defence.

With Linco, we are appointing a director who knows the landscape of entrepreneurs, financiers, regions and central government from the inside. He will start on 1 December.
