Invest-NL is now open for business

In the presence of Minister of Finance Wopke Hoekstra, Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate Eric Wiebes, Jan Nooitgedagt (Chairman Board of Directors) and Wouter Bos (CEO Invest-NL) Invest-NL was launched today.

In the Westergastheater in Amsterdam over 300 guests attended the ceremony to celebrate the start of Invest-NL. Moderator Ester van Rijswijk interviewed Minister Hoekstra en Minister Wiebes on stage, but also asked Jan Nooitgedagt about his role as chairman of the Board of Directors: "An incedible amount of work has been done by the many people that were involved over the past year to get Invest-NL ready to launch. This included activities that ranged from strategy to HR policy, and from defining investment principles to new housing facilities. So, the topics varied tremendously and I enjoyed it a lot to be part of this journey"

Invest-NL is committed to accelerating and facilitating sustainability and innovation in the Netherlands. We do this by financing projects and companies that make a valuable contribution in this field. By doing so, we can enable investments as a (co-)financier. Or assist projects and companies with complex investment issues as a consultant and put them in touch with other financiers where relevant. The core of our added value lies in expanding the market for risk capital, so that the Dutch economy and Dutch businesses become more sustainable and more innovative.

The Netherlands can and will become more sustainable and more innovative.

The Netherlands can and will become more sustainable and more innovative. This calls for dedication, patience and capital. But above all, it calls for entrepreneurs. Real entrepreneurs with outstanding plans for the Netherlands of the future. We are here to finance those plans.

We are going to make the difference. Impact is our goal, return is our means. We dare to turn opportunity into achievement. To deliver where others falter. How do we do this? By taking responsible risks, waiting that little bit longer for our return, and making judicious use of our access to European funds. But also by being passionate and motivated, professional and reliable, and by firmly believing in our mission.

The entrepreneurs with the skills and the vision to create the Netherlands of tomorrow may just be starting out. The technology to make it possible is still in its infancy. This is our area of expertise. The place where we make the difference. We cannot meet these challenges alone. And even if we could, we wouldn’t want to. You are more than welcome to join us, so we can fulfil these promises together.
Welcome to the Netherlands of tomorrow.
