Invest-NL invests € 7.5 million in impact fund SHIFT Invest IV

To achieve the transition to a sustainable economy, investments in technology-driven startups are crucial. SHIFT Invest IV focuses on technology companies in the early to growth phase with solutions for climate change, resource scarcity, and biodiversity loss. The fund invests in both hardware and software solutions, from circular materials and precision agriculture to smart energy technology.  

“We are enthusiastic about SHIFT Invest because they are true pioneers in impact investing. They are willing to step in early, when the risks are still high but the impact potential is significant. We can learn a lot from them and collaborate at a later stage,” said Fay Kitzen, investment analyst at Invest-NL. 

The investment from Invest-NL is part of the first closing of the fund, together with several ROMs among others. This initial closing amounts to € 92 million. The fund aims for a total size of € 150 million.
