New funding for QuantWare boosts scalability of quantum processors

QuantWare, pioneer in quantum hardware, has attracted additional private capital partly due to our earlier investment of € 6.3 million. As a result, it has expanded its Series A funding round to € 24 million. The Deep Tech Fund of Invest-NL is investing € 1.2 million in this second round.

More powerful and scalable

QuantWare develops quantum processors that are easier to scale thanks to VIO, a technology that makes it possible to pack much more computing power into a single chip. Scalability is an important requirement for quantum computers capable of solving complex problems, such as climate modelling, materials research, and drug development.

Investment accelerates expansion of factory and team

The additional funding will be used to scale up chip production capacity in Delft, attract international talent, and expand collaborations within the quantum ecosystem. With this, QuantWare takes a next step towards quantum processors with more than a million qubits. A groundbreaking goal in the global race for powerful quantum technology.

Netherlands as frontrunner

QuantWare supplies its technology to customers in twenty countries. The company opts for an open architecture and offers its processors through direct sales of its own chips, foundry services, and packaging services.

With this strategic follow-up investment, Invest-NL underscores the importance of quantum technology. The Netherlands has the potential to be a leader in this deep tech sector internationally.
