The potential of water energy in and around the Wadden Sea area

The Wadden Sea area can become self-sufficient in electricity production through innovative water technologies. This is demonstrated by the TNO study on Energy from Water (EuW). The potential of water as a sustainable energy source is central to this report. It focuses on the use of wave motion, tidal energy, and the mixing of fresh and salt water. These methods are sustainable and offer potential for continuous energy supply, making them a stable complement to wind and solar energy.
