Invest-NL, upon its establishment on 16 January 2020, adopted the importance of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy in the Dutch Growth Co-investment Programme. This programme was launched in September 2017 with the aim of investing € 100 million in rapidly growing Dutch companies. The programme focuses on companies facing the so-called second “funding valley of death” or “equity gap,” which companies often encounter when they are about to scale from the start-up to the scale-up phase. The co-investment programme is an initiative set up in partnership with EIF, with both parties committing € 50 million. EIF acts as the implementer and manager of the programme.
