AmsterdamThe Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy (EZK) and Invest-NL are jointly launching the Deep Tech Fund (DTF). The DTF will invest in knowledge-intensive start-ups and scale-ups in sectors such as photonics, quantum technology, nanotech, and high tech to strengthen technological expertise and the international competitive position for the Netherlands. The fund's size amounts to €250 million, of which €175 million is contributed by EZK and the remaining part by Invest-NL.
The DTF supports knowledge-intensive start-ups and scale-ups to strengthen the technological expertise and the international competitive position for the Netherlands. The DTF aims to invest in companies with innovative, complex technology. For innovative enterprises that are both knowledge- and capital-intensive, it is often difficult to secure financing. In most cases, it concerns new technologies that have not yet proven themselves and come with relatively high risks.
